Title Fight is a killer melodic-punk band from Kingston, Pennsylvania. Their debut 7” is named for their hometown; a place that sits directly across the Susquehanna River from Wilkes-Barre and only about 2 hours from New Brunswick, NJ. So it isn’t (at least to me) surprising that Title Fight the three songs on the 7” fall squarely into the post-Lifetime vein of melodic punk that we all love so much. You know, fast pop-punk parts mixed with breakdowns? OK, think of the first two Saves The Day records but with a tad more grit. It is a fast and furious blast of guitars, bass, and drums that clocks in at a shade under 7 minutes 30 seconds and begs you to keep flipping the record over and over and over; it’s that good. - Source
Spawning from the Wilkes Barre, PA hardcore scene in 2003, Title Fight have made waves in the past few years with their unique blend of 90’s post hardcore and east coast pop punk. Although comparison have been made in the past to Can’t Slow Down era Saves the Day, with just one listen to “The Last Thing You Forget” it is evident that things have changed since 2007’s “Kingston.” Citing such influences such as Texas is the Reason, Jawbreaker, Seaweed, and Hot Water Music, “The Last Thing You Forget” is three emotional blasts of contentious post-hardcore, summarizing the trials and tribulations of growing up alone and confused in a small east coast town. - Run for Cover Records

Combining the speed and intensity of the music that shaped their youth, with a raw and brutal edge that will put them at the forefront of today‘s hardcore scene. Each member of Buffalo‘s BURIED ALIVE draws from a long history of active involvement in the hardcore scene. Featuring ex-mambers of Despair, Slugfest, Hourglass and Union. Due to their past endeavors, BURIED ALIVE expected some immediate interest in their band, but with only a handful of shows under their belt, the overwhelming response has by far exceeded everyone‘s expectations. Less than a year after their inception, the band has already taken their aggressive live show on the road with only a demo tape available. Their US Summer Tour with Brother‘s Keeper is just the beginning of the onslaught of what is to come.
Despite their contrasting backrounds and beliefs, the tight bond within BURIED ALIVE is a living testament of unity amongst diversity, which is essential in the hardcore scene.
Aspiring to make every song a crushig display of emotion and power, songwriting has become a very important and involved process for the band. Approaching the completion of the debut full length, their music is sure to take the hardcore scene by storm.
BURIED ALIVE‘s material deals with topics ranging from animal rights, problems within the hardcore scene to drug abuse.

Boxcutter, the Kingz Of Thugz are back. I’ve been bugging Mahmood to get my hands on a copy of this for who knows how long. I love Pitbull Ways and Thug Rock so my anticipation was pretty high when I saw this in my pile of albums to review.
For those who don’t know. Boxcutter is pretty much a super-group of hardcore OG’s. Featuring Ismean (Fury Of V) and Mad Joe Black (OTW/WIC) on vocals and Richie Krutch and Chris Mushmouth on guitars giving their version of a straight from the streets hip-hop/hardcore mix. Bands like Body Count and E-Town Concrete come to mind for quick comparisons but Boxcutter has a style all their own. If you think Mushmouth with hip-hop beats you are on the right track.
Most of the record features the hip-hop/hardcore hybrid and this material is the heaviest stuff they’ve recorded to date. BFL Soldier, Ghetto Story Part II, Crown Of Righteousness are so good its hard for me to get passed the halfway point of the album because I’m always going back to listen to them again. Each of the more instrument focused songs are catchy yet keep their hard edge. It will be hard not to bob your head or put your foot through someone’s torso once you pop this one. For songs like Kingz Of Thugz, Too Young To Die, and The Recipe that band opts to almost ditch the instruments completely and generate their focus on straight up hip-hop. Kingz is a call for battle against the “wangstas” of the world. Too Young is a ballad track about a fallen friend. The Recipe will have girls shaking their asses while their boyfriends are brawling.
Boxcutter is definitely a “love’em or hate’em” band and I’m a total sucker for this stuff. This album has gotten heavy play time since I’ve got my hands on it and I don’t see that stopping for awhile. The best thing is two of my favorite older Boxcutter songs (Ghetto Story and Move’em Out) are featured as bonus tracks on the record. Hearing Ismean on the mic again brings me back to the Fury Of Five days and gets me pumped. I can’t wait to see these guys live.
If you know and like old Boxcutter, prepare to be blown away. If you don’t like them, well that’s your loss. If you are into bands like E-Town Concrete and Body Count then you’ll definitely be into this record.
Forming in 1994, FURY OF FIVE are no strangers to NYC Hard Core. They've left their mark in clubs from Avenue A to 154th Street. However, FURY OF FIVE hail from New Jersey and are hand in hand with the other hardcore bands coming out of the neighboring big city. What makes this band so unique is their ability to attract the typical hardcore/punk kid with their street-level, fuck society lyrics coupled with skankable songwriting and the average metalhead through their proficient use of head-spinning, jagged riffs.
The band has toured extensively throughout the Northeastern United States and has two European tours under their belts. The aggression, mayhemand energy that exists at a FURY show is unsurpassed. 'At War With The World' was recorded at the reknowned Normandy Sound by Jamie Locke (Vision of Disorder, Madball, Obituary...). FURY OF FIVE is the epitome of what today's underground music scene needs- a brutally honest, in your face, hard-working band. If you like hard music and want the real deal, come and get some.
After all the shit that's gone down. After all the crap that's been said. The rip offs, the beat downs, the lies, the fucked up promoters, the broken promises, the record companies... Here it is FURY OF FIVE. "This Time It's Personal". This is the group that never compromised and never ever backed down. With FURY OF FIVE at any moment it could go off big time. A look, a stare, an attitude... see ya pal. I hope your insurance is paid up. Being addicted to chaos and anarchy myself I knew that I had to manage this band from the first day I met them. Self destruction was eminent, it was really just a matter of time. But in the end who really gives a fuck. We went around the world and had some good times and that's really where it's at. This is the band that took no shit (Or what they thought was shit) from anybody. Whether you were in a band (especially if you were in a band), a bouncer in a club, or just an everyday fool who can't keep your mouth shut your ass would get fucking taxed. It kept things lively - that's for sure. But when you live by the sword of course you die by the sword as well. In the end all of Fury's violent exploits painted them into a corner. There was just nowhere to go. It's hard to be a band when clubs don't want you to play since you put a bunch of their bouncers in the hospital. So there you have it. This could be the final document of the legendary New Jersey based band FURY OF FIVE... so enjoy it!... Or else!
Stay tuned.. later this week I will give you an update on Boxcutter (ex-Fury of Five), and their new release The Ill Testament that was released April 7th.

This is the trailer that was shown at the San Diego Comic Con 08... R Rated version. This movie seems that it will be a big improvement in the series and will be taking the violence and revenge to the proper level. Too many of the prior movies have been sugar coated, and this one appears to be a step in the right direction.
The song in this video is from Ramallah, the AMAZING Boston hardcore band with Rob Lindt from Blood for Blood, Sinners and Saints. Unfortunetlly Ramallah is broken up, however "Kill a Celebrity" is still living on as one of the most important records of the last decade, with its hard hitting sound and lyrics like as follows:
PLEASE read the lyrics, this album has ALOT to say. If only 1% of hardcore and metal said this much than maybe we would see a difference in our society/scene.
You know those annoying faggots in news threads that do that shit, seriously... ban them all.
Oki here we go... first off, I am not a grammar Nazi so don't critique my spelling or my grammar. 2nd this blog will contain tons of profanity and downloads, so be careful at work, no [NSFW] post thou, I am in the military and I would like to check my own blog at work without being court-marshaled.
So I am stationed at Fort Campbell, KY as of June 17th. I drove all the way here from San Antonio, took 3 days to get here 950@ miles, only drove 5-6 hours a day and than got a hotel room, in fear of my car dying on the way. My wife drove here in 1 day all 16 hours in our new Jeep Patriot to visit me before I go play in the sandbox, she wins, love the vehicle 27 mpg and its roomy. I got to my gaining unit and found out I ship to Iraq on August 15th, will be there for 4 months and be coming back around XXX-Mas. Nice easy tour in the Green Zone, taking care of patients at Saddam's old hospital in Baghdad. Life here so far has been okay, went to one show in Nashville smashed a lot of heads and made some new friends. Just been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 on the PC and catching up on some new Hardcore releases.
This is the "Real" ARMY here.. combat arms knows how to take care of their troops, and also have a good time. S1 office here got me a ton of money for my move and gave me a ton of time off before my vacation in the sandbox. I have seen a promotion ceremony that involved dumping a trashcan full of baby oil, milk and coffee grounds all over the new SGT and PFC. We had a company fish fry to celebrate July 4th, with the 1SG cooking. I am playing on the company Softball Team and also playing racquetball daily with the NCOs of the unit, they whip my ass. So to say this is a change from my last unit would be an understatement, here unit comrade actually happens, and without all the civilians working with us the drama level is ZERO that I have seen/heard so far.
Enjoy... I plan to update this as much as possible. Right now I am just chillen, hanging with the wife so you might just get movie reviews until I get to the Middle East.
Alot of blog sites that I support on my links list use .RAR files and you cant open them without downloading the WinRAR format. WinRAR is a better condensing format that takes up less space or bytes than the zip format. WinRAR takes your files and puts them in a library for you and you can add all zip formats to it as well, its very easy to use. To download the WinRAR format use this site that I trust.
